What the calculator includes
- Transmission: walls, ceiling, floor, doors and glass, based on your panel type and thickness.
- Product load: chilling or freezing, respiration heat and packaging, with product data filled in automatically.
- Air change: warm air entering through the door, with options for strip curtains, air curtains and high-speed doors.
- Internal loads: people, lighting, door heaters, evaporator fans and defrost.
- Blast freezing rooms: batch size and target time for shock freezing.

The page opens with example values. Work through the steps in order (Product, Room, Location, Loading, Door Use, Results) and replace the values with your own project figures. The required cooling capacity appears on the Results step.
How accurate are the results?
Results are for preliminary sizing, so confirm equipment selection with manufacturer data. Product data comes from Nuri Özkol, Uygulamalı Soğutma Tekniği (MMO Yayınları) and USDA FoodData Central. Some values are typical, and the conditions on the product label take priority.
