Frozen storage plant in Banjul, The Gambia
Frigo System supplied a frozen storage plant with three cold rooms to a customer in Banjul, The Gambia. Our team installed the rooms and commissioned the refrigeration system on site in 2021. At commissioning, the rooms reached the storage temperature of -18 °C, measured inside the rooms.
- Three frozen storage rooms: one room of 30 × 10 × 6 m and two rooms of 15 × 10 × 6 m (outside dimensions), about 600 m² of floor area in total.
- Storage temperature: -18 °C, measured in the rooms at commissioning.
- Insulation: cold room sandwich panels installed with care for thermal bridges, and 10 cm of floor insulation over a vapour barrier.
- Doors and lighting: sliding cold room doors and LED lighting in the rooms.
- Refrigeration: evaporators inside the rooms and outdoor condensing units on a steel platform, connected with copper piping and cabling, then charged with refrigerant and tested.
